Are there any counties that use the Cash Drawer system for
receipts with IFS and also have a Cash Drawer at the social service agency
where they receipt in money as it comes to them? I’m interested in
hearing or getting copies of any policy/procedure how the receipts are managed
using the Cash Drawer system at the social service office.

Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteOur county uses Cash Drawer to receipt all revenue, the receipts are then pushed to IFS. The auditor's office receipts revenue for the general fund, and I receipt everything for the public health and human services departments and push it to IFS. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

Our county also uses Cash Drawer in HHS. We process receipts once daily, not continually throughout the day. If money is received after the Cash Drawer process has been completed for the day, we will keep it in our locked safe until the next day.
